This is a mentoring program for at risk youth, that pairs youth with adult mentors in order to assist the youth in becoming productive citizens. Mentors meet with youth one on one guiding them in the right direction
The Youth Serve program focuses primarily on youth who are of middle and early high school age. This age group is particularly problematic and a perfect time for mentoring to be effective. At-risk young people have lost faith in the possibilities that await them if they are successful in putting their lives together. Youth Serve is here to restore that hope.

Welcome Without Judgment
At Youth Haven, no one has to check their identity at the door. Youth Haven is open to all. We serve people from all walks of life—regardless of race, gender identity, sexual orientation, religious belief, immigration status, ability, background, or income level. You're welcome here, just as you are. Noone will ever be turned away, pressured to conform, or shamed for being who they are.
🟢 Value: Respectful — We recognize each youth’s unique identity and meet them with dignity, not dogma.
✝️ Our Approach to Faith- IS NOT Coercive
🧾 No Pressure. No Proselytizing.
No youth will ever be pressured to convert, attend church, or adopt anyone's beliefs. We believe faith should be shared with honesty and humility, not coercion. If youth ask about our team’s faith, we’re happy to share our stories—but always from a place of respect and consent.
In fact, we take great pride in being a refuge for youth—especially LGBTQ+ youth—who may feel unsure, questioning, or hurt by their past religious experiences. We encourage open conversation, honest doubt, and personal spiritual discovery, offering support wherever youth are on their journey.
🤝 What We Believe in Practice
-
Grace without judgment
-
Leadership through service
-
Shared decency, morality, and ethics—not imposed by any one group
-
Healing through unity
Youth Haven Ministries is faith-rooted—but never faith-imposed. We offer spiritual care for those who seek it, along with optional faith-based activities. Faith is never required to belong.
Participation in any spiritual or faith-based activity is always 100% voluntary and never a condition for receiving services or support.
Our staff are trained to respect each youth’s personal beliefs and will only share their own faith when invited. Every young person is free to explore spirituality—or not—on their own terms.
🟢 Value: Trustworthy — We don’t offer help with hidden strings. We lead with sincerity, not conversion.
🔓 Your Rights at Youth Haven
Every youth who walks through our doors has the right to:
-
Be called by their chosen name
-
Access services without pressure, shame, or judgment
-
Opt out of religious events and still receive full support
-
Be treated with kindness, fairness, and transparency
-
Be safe—emotionally, physically, and spiritually
-
🟢 Value: Truthful — We’re open about what we offer and clear about what we never will: exclusion, coercion, or shame.
🛡️ We Believe in Equal Access
Our programs and services are delivered without bias or discrimination. That includes:
-
No proselytizing outside clearly labeled, optional faith-based events
-
No shaming or moralizing of youth for identity, past choices, or behavior
-
No “gatekeeping” based on background, income, family status, or belief
-
🟢 Value: Responsible — We uphold the law, honor boundaries, and serve with integrity
📣 Why This Matters
Too many youth fall through the cracks because they don’t “fit” the mold—racially, spiritually, behaviorally, emotionally. At Youth Haven, we step into that gap. We will respond—not with judgment, but with presence.
🟢 Value: Responsive — We don’t wait until a youth is in crisis. We reach, listen, and show up early—with real care.
🛡️ Non-Discrimination & Equal Access
We don’t just believe in equity—we practice it. Our services, programs, and events are open to all youth, and we prohibit discrimination based on:
-
Race or ethnicity
-
Gender identity or expression
-
Sexual orientation
-
National origin or citizenship
-
Religion or belief system
-
Political affiliation or social background
-
Disability, mental health status, or past life experiences
Denial of services is only considered when safety or supervision requirements demand it—and even then, we document, refer, and do everything we can to stay supportive.
